A Bit About Me & My Dog
Hi there! I'm Abigail Wolf, and I couldn't be more thrilled about the chance to team up with you and your beloved furry friend!

Originally hailing from Reading, Pennsylvania, my journey led me to the breathtaking landscapes of Colorado in September 2020. Alongside me on this adventure are my cat, two dogs, and two rats. Despite the whirlwind journey to get here, we've cherished every moment in this vibrant state!

My passion for working with animals ignited in my youth, thanks to my mother's love for creatures great and small. Our household was often likened to a mini zoo, brimming with two dogs, two birds, a couple of anoles, a cat, and even a fish. Observing these animals became my window to a broader understanding of the world, beyond my own perspective.

I graduated in the fall of 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in business and psychology, followed by a master’s in transpersonal psychology completed in June 2021. During my master’s program, I delved into exploring how our connections with animals can deepen our understanding of ourselves and others. In their natural essence, animals embody the traits of a transpersonal identity: compassionate, loving, wise, and more, as described by Vaughan (1985).

Upon arriving in Colorado, I immersed myself in the local humane society, serving as an Animal Care Technician. Each day, I provided love and care to the animals, striving to create a safe haven for them. However, it was witnessing the unfortunate consequences faced by animals due to human errors that spurred me to shift my focus. I yearned to be part of the solution, empowering animals to thrive and preventing them from ending up in shelters or facing harsh consequences.

My journey with animals has been transformative, encouraging introspection and self-growth. I firmly believe that by stepping outside our own perspectives and embracing the viewpoints of others, including our furry companions, we gain fresh insights and foster deeper connections. This practice of empathy brings us closer together and enriches our ability to care for one another on a profound level.
